Dhurandhar The Revenge lands in legal trouble over alleged disclosure of defence details; Delhi HC asks government and CBFC to take informed decision The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed the Union government and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to examine allegations that Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, may have violated provisions of the Official Secrets Act by allegedly revealing sensitive operational details linked to India’s armed forces. The matter came up before a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia after a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by Deepak Kumar, a Head Constable with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The petitioner raised concerns over the film’s content and claimed that certain scenes and references could pose risks to the country’s security and integrity. According to the plea, the film allegedly depicts operational locations and characters inspired by senior officials and deceased servicemen in a manner that may not be in the national interest. The petition further alleged that Dhurandhar 2 reveals details related to drugs being worked on by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). During the hearing, the Court acknowledged that the film may be a fictional and entertainment-driven work, but observed that the issues raised in the petition could not be dismissed outright. “Even if the movie is a work of fiction and imagination and is made for e... #High_Court #Delhi_High #Secrets_Act #Union_government #Ranveer_Singh #Central_Board #Film_Certification #starring_Ranveer #Revenge_lands #Wednesday_directed

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar controversy: Santosh Kumar RS agrees to stay silent on Aditya Dhar amid court proceedings The ongoing controversy surrounding Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has taken a fresh turn, with filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS agreeing to refrain from making any further public remarks against director Aditya Dhar. As per reports, the matter came up before the Bombay High Court, where Santosh Kumar’s legal representative conveyed that the filmmaker would avoid speaking about the dispute in public going forward. Instead, he would rely on appropriate legal channels to address his concerns. It was also suggested on his behalf that earlier comments were not specifically aimed at Aditya Dhar. The court, however, noted that making such an assurance enforceable in a broader sense could be challenging but decided to formally record Kumar’s commitment to avoid any further statements that could be seen as defamatory. On the other side, Aditya Dhar’s legal team pushed for a public apology over the earlier allegations. His counsel argued that publicly accusing someone of wrongdoing could have serious implications and maintained that an apology would be appropriate under the circumstances. However, Kumar’s side did not agree to this, stating that he believes he has sufficient grounds to support his claims and therefore would not apologise at this stage. With this, the court chose to close the interim plea while clearly stating that no further contro... #controversy_surrounding #Aditya_Dhar #Ranveer_Singh #starring_Ranveer #Santosh_Kumar #Singh_starrer #Dhurandhar_controversy #starrer_Dhurandhar #surrounding_Dhurandhar #ongoing_controversy

Ranveer Singh starrer Pralay is not an adaptation, reveals Hansal Mehta Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has opened up about his upcoming project Pralay, starring Ranveer Singh. The film, which has been generating considerable curiosity, is set to explore a large-scale post-apocalyptic world—an idea that, according to Mehta, has been in development for quite some time. Speaking about the origins of the project to The Hollywood Reporter, Mehta revealed that the concept was initially developed by filmmaker Jai Mehta, who had been working on it independently before Ranveer Singh came on board. "Jai had been working on this idea for a long time. " He further explained how the collaboration took shape once Ranveer expressed interest in the concept, "When Ranveer saw his work, he reached out to him and then Jai pitched it to him. Once Ranveer said he liked the idea, we invested in developing it-helping Jai create the world he wants to present in the film. "Detailing the scale and ambition of Pralay, Mehta described it as a genre-defining project for Indian cinema. “Its a post-apocalyptic world that hasnt been attempted before at this scale in India. Development is not just about writing. It also includes ideas-how you shape them, how you visualise them, and how you eventually sell them to a third party, to a star or a studio. We've invested in building those ideas,” he further told the portal. Addressing speculation about the film being inspired by existing literary works, Mehta firml... #Ranveer_Singh #Ranveer #Mehta #Hansal_Mehta #starring_Ranveer #reveals_Hansal #Filmmaker_Hansal #Hansal #Singh_starrer #Mehta_Filmmaker
