Krazy Castle Revival: Four Firms Submit Plans for Theme Park and Commercial Hub Nagpur: Four firms have submitted detailed redevelopment proposals for the now-closed Krazy Castle site, aiming to transform the landmark property into a theme park and commercial hub under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The plans, presented to MahaMetro officials, are currently undergoing evaluation to assess their technical feasibility, financial viability, and long-term sustainability before a developer is selected. The site, spanning 5.39 acres near Ambazari Lake and adjacent to Dharampeth College Metro Station, has remained largely unused since the closure of Krazy Castle Aqua Park during Phase I of the Metro project. The redevelopment initiative is designed to generate non-fare revenue for the Metro, with nearly 4.96 acres allocated for an amusement park and approximately 1,752 square meters reserved for commercial use. According to the project’s design brief, MahaMetro envisions an international-standard amusement destination catering to all age groups. The development may include a Global Village-inspired theme park, amusement rides, entertainment and recreation zones, indoor gaming arcades, bowling alleys, restaurants, food courts, exhibition centres, auditoriums, community halls, banquet facilities, and parking infrastructure. A key aspect of the project is the integration of landmark-inspired structures modeled on iconic global landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Disney Castle, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and pavilions representing China and Thailand. The selected developer will be responsible for refurbishing and strengthening these structures as part of the redevelopment.#mahaMetro #krazy_castle #ambazari_lake #dharampeth_college_metro_station #burj_khalifa
