In death, Wardha accident victim gives life to four A 47-year-old man from Seloo in Wardha district, Atul Gajananrao Deole, became a beacon of hope after his tragic accident, as his organs were donated to four patients following his brain death. The incident unfolded on April 4 when Deole, traveling on a two-wheeler near Butibori, met with a severe road accident. Despite intensive medical treatment over five days, doctors at AIIMS Nagpur confirmed he suffered a severe brain hemorrhage and declared him brain dead after completing all necessary protocols. The family’s decision to donate his organs was facilitated by the hospital’s transplant coordinators, Pooja Sulaniya, Divya Gaygole, and Vishal Handuge. After counseling, Deole’s wife, Rajni, and his family members consented to the donation. His liver, kidneys, and corneas were retrieved and allocated in accordance with national guidelines through ZTCC Nagpur. The allocation process was overseen by ZTCC Nagpur’s president, Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar, and secretary, Dr. Shailesh Gahukar. The liver was successfully transplanted into a 56-year-old patient, while the kidneys were allocated to two recipients—one at AIIMS Nagpur and another at a private hospital. The corneas were retained at AIIMS for further use. The brain death panel included Dr. Shrigiriwar, Dr. Sucheta Meshram, Dr. Sourabh Zambre, and Dr. Kiran Prathipati, ensuring the process adhered to strict medical standards. Transplant coordination was led by Dinesh Mandape, who ensured the seamless execution of the donation. This gesture underscored the community’s recognition of his selfless act, which provided life-saving opportunities to four individuals.#butibori #aiims_nagpur #atul_gajananrao_deole #seloo #zttc_nagpur

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Warns of Fossil Fuel Risks, Urges Green Energy Transition Nagpur: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday highlighted the economic and environmental challenges posed by India’s heavy reliance on fossil fuel imports, emphasizing the urgent need to transition toward alternative and indigenous energy sources. Speaking at an international AI conference on climate resilience, green innovation, and sustainable development in Nagpur, Gadkari noted that India spends nearly Rs22 lakh crore annually on importing fossil fuels, a burden that strains the economy while exacerbating pollution. He stressed that achieving the vision of an "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (self-reliant India) requires a significant reduction in fossil fuel dependence. Gadkari, who described India as the fastest-growing economy in the world, argued that future growth must be rooted in "ethics, economy, ecology, and environment." He underscored that sustainable development cannot be achieved without protecting natural resources and adopting region-specific solutions. The minister also criticized the lack of coordination between universities, research organizations, and local communities, calling it the "biggest challenge" in addressing practical problems. He urged academic institutions to contribute directly to socioeconomic development and called for performance audits of educational institutions to assess their societal impact. Gadkari emphasized the potential of biofuels such as ethanol, methanol, biodiesel, and bio-CNG as cost-effective, pollution-free alternatives. He highlighted the opportunity to convert agricultural waste like rice straw into bio-CNG, which could mitigate pollution from stubble burning while generating economic value.#butibori #union_minister_nitin_gadkari #international_ai_conference #mahindra_group #atmanirbhar_bharat

1,900 Litres of Diesel Seized in Butibori Raid, Two Arrested Nagpur: Butibori police conducted a raid on Tuesday, seizing 1,900 litres of illegally hoarded diesel valued at nearly Rs1.9 lakh, along with other materials worth approximately Rs2 lakh. The total recovery from the operation amounted to around Rs4 lakh. The raid occurred amid a severe fuel shortage in both urban and rural areas, leading to long queues at petrol pumps. Acting on a tip-off, a police team monitored by rural SP Harssh A Poddar raided Ruikheri, where two suspects—Ranjit Singh Thakur (49) and Roshan Yadav (40), both from Wardha—were arrested. Mohd Aklim Mohd Aslam Sheikh of Ruikhairi remains at large. Police stated that the trio lacked a licence to store diesel and were hoarding it for profiteering. During the operation, authorities recovered 95 plastic cans, each holding 20 litres of diesel, from the premises. The raid was supervised by additional SP Anil Mhaske and SDPO Bhagyashree Dhirbassi. A case has been registered under Sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, and Section 8(1) of the Petroleum Act. Police suspect the involvement of a larger syndicate and are investigating potential links to other illicit activities. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges of fuel scarcity in the region, with authorities urging the public to avoid panic and rely on official information. The seizure underscores efforts to combat illegal fuel stockpiling, which exacerbates shortages and drives up prices. As the investigation continues, officials emphasize the need to address systemic issues contributing to the crisis, including supply chain disruptions and regulatory enforcement gaps.#nagpur #wardha #butibori #ruikheri #ruikhairi
