March Weather Forecast: Rising Temperatures in Kanpur and Surrounding Regions This year’s March has been unusually hot, with temperatures in Kanpur and nearby areas showing a sharp rise. According to the Meteorological Department, the heat is expected to intensify after March 11, with daytime temperatures surpassing normal levels by 2.7 to 3.0 degrees. Nighttime temperatures have also seen fluctuations, with a sudden increase followed by a gradual decline. The weather forecast indicates that the western disturbance will cause temperature swings throughout the month. Currently, mountainous regions are experiencing higher-than-normal daytime temperatures, while several states, including Uttar Pradesh, are witnessing maximum temperatures 5 to 6 degrees above average. However, Uttar Pradesh remains relatively normal for now, with conditions expected to stay consistent until March 11. Meteorological officials predict that by March 11, temperatures could reach 33-35 degrees Celsius, with a potential rise in the following days. The peak temperature is expected to stabilize between 37-38 degrees. In Odisha, temperatures have already approached 40 degrees, with a steady increase in minimum temperatures. The lowest nighttime temperatures in the state are projected to rise from 12 degrees to 18 degrees by the end of March. In Kanpur, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was 30.8 degrees, rising to 31.3 degrees on Thursday. The minimum temperature was 15 degrees on Wednesday and 15.7 degrees on Thursday, both above normal levels. Humidity levels have also been decreasing gradually, with maximum humidity at 76% and minimum at 35% on Thursday.
